6 years in private practice. 2+ years in clinical leadership. A Master of Musculoskeletal Physiotherapy in progress. And a clear memory of what it felt like to have none of that support yet.

Daniel Jurjevic, founder of Clinical Mastery Institute

I work as a Clinical Services Coordinator in a private practice physiotherapy clinic. My week involves mentoring associate physiotherapists, running professional development sessions, supporting clinical and administrative staff, and maintaining my own caseload. I am currently completing a Master of Musculoskeletal Physiotherapy alongside all of it, so I know what it takes to keep developing your practice while working full-time in a demanding clinical environment.

I have delivered hundreds of hours of clinical mentoring. I have supervised overseas-trained graduates through to full AHPRA registration, and I have supported university students into their first roles after graduating. That work is the part of my job I care most about.

I started Clinical Mastery Institute because I saw patterns with new clinicians that I could easily relate to. My first two years of private practice were a struggle. Senior clinicians left my clinic, I had no structured mentoring, and I was trying to manage a growing caseload and my own mental health at the same time. I began to question why I had become a physiotherapist at all.

That being said, the problem is rarely capability. There are brilliant early-career physios who are technically strong but feel isolated in practice, second-guess their clinical reasoning, and have nobody in their corner to help them navigate it. That is exactly what I offer. The mentoring I wished I'd had.
