Frequently asked
questions.

If your question isn't here, book a Discovery Call or send a message and I'll get back to you within one business day.

  1. What happens on the Discovery Call?

A Discovery Call is a free 30-minute conversation to understand where you're at in your career, what's feeling hard, and what you're hoping mentoring could offer. There's no pressure and no obligation — it's a chance to see whether we're the right fit before committing to anything.

  2. How long is a session?

Each session is 60 minutes, delivered via Google Meet.

  3. How often do we meet?

Frequency is flexible. We agree a schedule at the start that suits your goals and your availability — weekly, fortnightly, or monthly. Most physios find a fortnightly cadence works well, but there is no fixed requirement.

  4. Is there a minimum commitment?

Yes — a minimum of 3 sessions applies. This is important because it takes time to develop an understanding of your learning style and clinical approach before the real patterns and priorities emerge. Three sessions is the minimum needed to work at a meaningful depth.

  5. What does it cost?

Sessions are $179 each, with a minimum of 3 sessions. Packages are available for better value:

    • 5 sessions — $800 (save $95 vs per-session rate)
    • 10 sessions — $1,500 (save $290 vs per-session rate)

Group sessions for clinic teams are priced at the same rate for the whole group — the more physios in the room, the lower the cost per person. The Discovery Call is always free.

  6. Does this count toward my CPD requirements?

Yes. Session logs can be provided on request. The written session summaries and action plans emailed after every session can also be used as evidence when logging CPD hours under AHPRA's peer consultation and reflective practice categories.

CPD hours are self-assessed against the AHPRA standard and the requirements of your professional association. If you need a specific document format for your records, get in touch and we'll work something out.

  7. Can my employer pay for this?

Yes. Many clinic owners and practice managers cover or subsidise professional development costs for their staff. A receipt is issued for every payment, regardless of whether it's paid by you or reimbursed by your employer.

If your clinic is interested in group mentoring for your whole team, the Clinic Owners page has more detail on how that works.

  8. What if I'm not in Victoria?

Location doesn't matter. All sessions are delivered online via Google Meet, so CMI works with physiotherapists anywhere in Australia.

  9. How is this different from supervision at my clinic?

Clinic supervision is usually incidental — a quick conversation between patients when a senior clinician has a spare moment. It depends on their availability and energy levels, and rarely gets to the deeper clinical reasoning questions.

CMI mentoring is dedicated time that belongs entirely to you. It is consistent, structured, and built around your development rather than around what the clinic needs in that moment. It is also confidential — you can be genuinely honest about what's hard without concern for how that reflects on you at work.

  10. What platform do sessions use?

All sessions are delivered via Google Meet. A link is sent ahead of each session — no special software to download.
